The disease of
Kidney failure is getting too scary by the day. Few days ago we all received the news
of the demise of a young Nigerian Actor. His death is a typical example of millions of people that are dying daily as a result of this deadly kidney disease. Since this disease is not a respecter of anybody, we owe ourselves the duty of taking care of our health to prevent or reduce its effect.
Here Are The Top 6 Preventive Measures We Can Take to Help Ourselves.
Don’t Keep Urine in Your Bladder.
Keeping urine in your bladder for too long or excreta in your bowl is a very bad idea. A full bladder can cause bladder damage. The urine that stays in the bladder multiplies bacteria quickly. Once the urine re-fluxes back to the urethra and kidneys, the toxic substances can result in kidney infections, then urinary tract infections, and then nephritis, and even uremia. When nature calls – do it as soon as possible.
Don’t Eat Too Much Salt (Sodium).
You should eat no more than 5.8 grams of salt daily. Most of the foods we consume already have salt in them, so if you already have
diabetes and or
High Blood Pressure, do not add more salt to your food. Eating too much salt will raise your blood pressure which will affect your kidney. Not eating salt at all is not the best, so do it in moderation to avoid the dangers of both ways.
